Calvert-Lewin has scored in five consecutive league appearances for Leeds, while his performance against Newcastle earned glowing assessments, including Jamie Carragher’s description of him as “unplayable” and “almost perfect.” Leeds boss Farke has also backed the striker’s international credentials, arguing that his current level makes him one of the Premier League’s best strikers. For a player once surrounded by questions about fitness and consistency, the transformation is beginning to look suspiciously like a successful footballing reboot.
The wider Leeds story makes Calvert-Lewin’s resurgence even more significant.
