Callum Hudson-Odoi, winger for Nottingham Forest, has been ordered to pay more than £1,100 after a court convicted him of failing to tax his McLaren supercar. The case, handled through a fast-track legal procedure, has drawn attention both because of the player’s Premier League status and the high-value vehicle involved.
The ruling comes at a difficult moment for the Hudson-Odoi, who has also been ruled out for the remainder of the season following surgery on a leg injury. The combined developments add fresh challenges for both the player and his club during a critical stage of the campaign.
Hudson-Odoi Court Conviction Over Untaxed Supercar
According to court papers, Hudson-Odoi became the registered keeper of a McLaren 765LT in February 2024. The annual road tax on the vehicle expired at the end of January 2025, but authorities said the car remained untaxed for several months afterward.
Officials reported that the supercar was seen on Southmill Street in Manchester at 8.50am on October 29 last year. The discovery triggered enforcement action, leading to prosecution for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.
Fine Totals More Than £1,100
The matter was heard at York Magistrates’ Court on April 20 through the Single Justice Procedure, a streamlined process often used for lower-level offences. Hudson-Odoi did not enter a plea, and the court proceeded with a conviction.
Magistrate Karen Shackleton ordered the footballer to pay a £660 fine, £410 in unpaid tax, and £85 in court costs. The combined amount exceeded £1,100.
Luxury Vehicle Adds Public Interest
The case has generated added interest because the vehicle involved is one of McLaren’s premium performance models. Some versions of the 765LT carry asking prices of more than £400,000, placing it among the most expensive road cars associated with Premier League players.
